Senator Kiio Consoles Families in Ekani Village Following Loss of Two Respected Residents(Details)

Residents of Ekani Village in Kanziko–Simisi Ward, Kitui South Constituency have been united in grief following the passing of two respected members of the community, Mbindyo Kaluku and Mwalimu Philip Nthenge Mutinda. During separate condolence visits, Senator Kiio joined the bereaved families and residents in mourning the painful losses that have deeply affected the area.

In his message of comfort, Senator Kiio expressed heartfelt sympathies to the families, noting that the deaths of the two men had left a great void within the community. He encouraged relatives and friends to remain strong and continue supporting one another during the difficult season of mourning.

Mbindyo Kaluku, who passed away after a short illness, was remembered as a valued member of the community whose life touched many people in Ekani and the surrounding areas. His passing brought sadness across the village, with residents describing him as a man who lived peacefully with others and contributed positively to society.

The community also paid tribute to Mwalimu Philip Nthenge Mutinda, a respected teacher and elder remembered for his humility, dignity, and dedication to both family and neighbors. Many described him as a hardworking man whose wisdom and kindness earned him admiration throughout Kanziko–Simisi Ward.

During the visits, Senator Kiio shared words of encouragement from the Bible to strengthen the grieving families. He quoted Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit,” and Matthew 5:4, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

As burial preparations continue, prayers and condolences continue pouring in from friends, leaders, and residents across Kitui County. The two departed men will be remembered for the impact they made in their community and the values they upheld throughout their lives.
