Excitement is building across Machakos County ahead of the highly anticipated Linda Mwananchi tour scheduled for Sunday, 31st May 2026. The tour has received strong backing from Ukambani young democrats led by youthful leader Hon. Felix Mambo, who is also eyeing the Mavoko Constituency parliamentary seat in 2027.
Hon. Mambo officially welcomed the Linda Mwananchi principals to Machakos County, calling upon residents, especially the youth, to turn up in large numbers and listen to the leaders’ vision for Kenya’s future. The event is expected to bring together key political figures including Machakos gubernatorial hopeful Hon. Patrick Makau, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Siaya Governor James Orengo, and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.
According to Hon. Felix Mambo, the meeting will focus heavily on issues affecting ordinary Kenyans, with special attention being given to the role of youth in leadership and governance. He emphasized that the leaders will also address concerns surrounding the current Finance Bill and its impact on wananchi, especially young people struggling with unemployment and the high cost of living.
Speaking while inviting residents to the gathering, Hon. Mambo encouraged wananchi from all parts of Machakos to attend and engage with the leaders directly.
“Nawakaribisha nyinyi wote viongozi wetu na Wakenya mkuje tusikize vile Principals wa Linda Mwananchi wanasema,” said Hon. Felix Mambo.
The upcoming tour is expected to energize the political atmosphere in Ukambani as youth leaders continue pushing for greater inclusion in decision-making and national leadership.
